How to look up some table data automatically?

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hello, we have a service ticket system that runs on a MS SQL server.  This system needs to see our part numbers and prices.

Our old Sage 300 ERP also ran on the MS SQL server, so it was easy to see the data.  We would like this same functionality with our new Acumatica system.

I considered looking into an automated export to Excel, and I guess this would be fine.  We don’t update prices often, but there will still be a case where we update a price and 5 minutes later the service ticket asks for it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for this?

Hi @NathanKahn

How many part numbers are in database? Is setting smaller interval on automated export an option ?

Do you want the price to be exported when one or more item price changes in Acumatica ? We can look for business event based solution.

Regards,

Not so many, about 500.

Ideally, for efficiency, the excel file would be re-exported when there is a change (new item added or existing price changed).  Which is not often.  Maybe 20 times a year.

Thanks for your help.  I’d like to not trouble my VAR with this unless necessary, as it’s a new installation and he already has plenty to do.

Nathan
