Recording Transactions for Cutting Aluminum Bars

We currently operate a cutting location where aluminum bars are cut into different pieces. As we plan to enable the Manufacturing Module in a couple of months, we are seeking advice on the best process to record these transactions in the interim.

Should we utilize Inventory Adjustments and include scrap in the adjustments? We are looking for insights and best practices from the community.

Thank you in advance for your advice!

Hi @aborisova37 ,

Have you explored using Kit Assemblies?  We have a scenario where product gets sent to a third party to be reorganized and packaged, which also results in some shrink.  The carrying costs in the system inflate appropriately, as long as we keep things extremely simple (1 Input, 2-3 Outputs).

Might be worth exploring, best of luck.

Thank you, @craig2. This might be a good option for us as well.
