AP Approval Reassignment - Can we limit the options for the new approver?

Good Morning All.

We’re looking into allowing one of our approval groups to reassign approvals if necessary. However, when I test it out it seems to allow the original approver to select any one of the company employees, even those who are not part of our approval mapping at all.

Is there any way to limit it so they can only reassign the approval to specific users, or only reassign to someone that is next in line on the approval tree?

If this is not possible, perhaps we can add it as an idea for a future modification? It would be extremely useful.

Hello,

You are correct, the current versions show us all employees as potential approvers. To limit the list to those in the Approvers Role or above the original user on the company tree, would require some customization.

BTW, I find myself setting up a new Approvers role at many clients… Acumatica could add a standard “Approver” Role for Approval screen that has View rights to POs and AP Bills - will save us lots of time.
