Hi

I’ve set up ad hoc quality testing, but the system is taking the inventory out of stock.  We complete our visual tests in line, so we do not take samples out of stock. Can anyone help me tell me how I set up the ad hoc tests that it will not take the sample off the inventory? Thanks

Hi @EN1

Do you mean you want to set up a demo Acumatica with available inventory data?

Best Regards,

NNT

Hi NNT,

Thanks for your response. However, I’m not looking to set up a demo with inventory data. I want to set up ad hoc quality tests in Acumatica so that performing visual inspections or tests does not remove inventory from stock. Currently, the system seems to be deducting inventory even though we don’t actually take any samples out of stock. Is there a way to configure this so that inventory levels remain unchanged during the testing process?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi @EN1

Please try unchecking the fields: "Update GL"; “Post Summary on Updating GL”; "Automatically Post on Release" in the Inventory Preferences screen.

Best Regards,

NNT

@EN1 - are you using the Quality module? If so - I’ll see if I can get someone to answer this question for you.

Those are global settings - I am not sure you would want to turn off the setting to update GL.

There are Quality Management solutions you should evaluate on the Acumatica Marketplace to handle these business needs.

Hi @EN1, when an ad-hoc QC is performed, the inventory is temporarily moved to a quarantine location (as specified in the QC preference screen) to prevent accidental consumption. Once the QC process is completed, the inventory is either returned to its original location or placed in a new location selected by the user. Throughout the process, the on-hand quantity remains unaffected.
