I’m tagging @gmercede on this since I have a feeling that he might know if it’s possible.

I’d like to be able to have a Business Event get triggered by some data in Acumatica. The Business Event would then trigger an Import Scenario and I’d like the Import Scenario to essentially “press” the UPLOAD USING MOBILE APP button shown in the screenshot below which would send a notification to a mobile device through the Acumatica Mobile App to scan a document and attach it to the Purchase Order.

This would make the workflow a lot nicer because Acumatica would “come and ask” for a scanned document rather than the other way around.

Thanks for the quick reply @gmercede. Ya, I’m not seeing a way to add UPLOAD USING MOBILE APP to an Import Scenario either.

But, you helped me to realize that this could be handled with a Mobile Push Notification subscriber on a Business Event.

The key is to populate the Destination Screen ID and Destination Entity ID fields shown in the 1st screenshot below.

A description of those fields from the Help is shown in the 2nd screenshot below.

There seems to be one additional click/press with this method on the mobile app because, although it can take you directly to the transaction, you still have to click/press the paperclip icon and then click/press the Camera button.

But, I can see how this could actually be a better workflow than the UPLOAD USING MOBILE APP button because that only shows you the transaction number within the notification window on the top of your phone, then it takes you right into the Attachments area where you click/press the Camera button.

With a Mobile Push Notification subscriber on a Business Event, when you click/press on the notification on your phone, it takes you into the transaction in the Mobile app and you are better “oriented” because you see not only the transaction number, but the Date, the Vendor, and other relevant information before you click/press on the paperclip icon.

The business event can send a mobile notification and or trigger an import.  But the kind of import would be linked to an existing import scenario.  The mobile notification it could send to the device would be to alert you with some message. I don't know if a message that could contain a hyperlink could upload to a specific area document.

The upload using mobile notification is a static notification and not linked at all to a business event. I suspect Acumatica has hard coded that event.
