Stock item with no attribute in template item - Shopify

We handle the 10x10 frame and various colored covers separately in Acumatica. When a customer orders a tent, frame and cover is bundled manually and shipped together.

(a) I have included all covers in the template item using color as a variable attribute. How can I add the frame to the matrix item?

(b) If I want to use the 10x10 frame in a second template item, can this stock item be utilized across different template items?

Thank you!

@mindweb , the best way of setting this up would be:

  1. Create 1x stock item for 10x10 FRAME
  2. Create many products for FRAME COVER (for example, COVER RED, COVER BLACK, etc.)
  3. Create a Tent matrix item (SKU = TENT)
  4. Create variants of the Tent matrix item with the color as an attribute - this will create stock items in Acumatica (TENT-RED, TENT-BLK, etc.)
  5. Make each of those stock items a Kit product. When you do that, you can set up a kit specification (separate screen). For your kits, you will use TENT and COVER RED, or TENT and COVER BLACK, etc. stock items as components of the kit.
  6. After selling TENT-RED, you would assemble a kit in Acumatica, and then ship it.

Hope this helps.
