ERP Transaction count

Customer is finding large number in there daily ERP transaction count on their Process screen

Can someone confirm the ERP Transaction count in the example below

  • customer is running create shipment on a automation schedule of Proess Orders every 10 min
  • there 173 - 175 records shown on history for each process - see below
  • there are 171 -172 records that have a warning an do not create shipment

Question:  are the 171 - 172 records processed each 10 min but do not create a shipment considered in the ERP Transactions count?

Hi @dsimmerly ,

In Acumatica, each action that updates the database or interacts with the system is generally considered an ERP transaction. The records that are processed, even if they do not result in the creation of a shipment, are likely counted as transactions because the system performs processing on them.

You have the option to review the transaction count within the License Monitoring console screen.

Thank you - yes the License monitor is where my analysis started - there was a high number on the Process screen in the Transaction details

@dsimmerly - We run create shipments on the process screen in high frequency as well but discovered that we can limit the number or ERP transaction count (and the overall processing time) by limiting to orders placed within the past 24 hours. This ignores older, open backorders which we sweep only once a day after receiving is completed.

New orders are caught within 10-15 minutes and sent to the warehouse very quickly for pick/pack still and we’re not dinged for excessive ERP transactions
