How to update the status under Sales Order Description that is synced from BigCommerce?

Hi Acumatica folks,

I just want to ask if anybody noticed too the order Description in Acumatica that is created from BigCommerce and synced to Acumatica.

As shown in the screenshot, the Description contains the name of the store, the BigCommerce Order ID, and the status of the order in BigCommerce. Sometimes it say Awaiting Payment, sometimes it says Awaiting Fulfillment.

Just wondering why despite orders being processed in Acumatica (created and confirmed shipment and creates and pay invoice), the status in the Description keeps saying Awaiting Fulfillment/Payment. Sometimes, it confuses us.

Do you see that as a concern as well? If yes, what have you done to update the Description with the actual status? Or alternative way to avoid the confusion?

@jib87 , we do not expect that field to change. I mean, if you had an Awaiting Payment, and then it was paid in e-com, and then you synced changes to Acumatica, the Description would change. But, if you shipped the order, and then its status got updated in e-com, the Acumatica order is in immutable state and won’t be updated.

@jib87 , it corresponds to the order status in BigCommerce / Shopify at the time of order import. Once the order is placed, it is first ‘Awaiting Payment’, and then as soon as a payment or pre-authorization is done, it becomes ‘Awaiting Fulfillment’. Even though your store might be set up to process payment right away, there could be a delay between the order is placed and the payment gateway returns payment information - in this instance, an order will be imported with ‘Awaiting Payment’ status.

For a follow-up question: If a prepaid order from BigCommerce is synced, then processed in Acumatica, and the Shipment has been created and confirmed (turning the Acumatica order to Completed), and the Shipment is synced back, the BigCommerce Sales Order status turns to Shipped.

Are we expecting that when the Sales Order is synced back (either manually) to Acumatica, the Description field will change from Awaiting Fulfillment to Shipped? From what I see, it remains at Awaiting Fulfillment.

Is that the correct behavior, or did I miss something?

Got it. So that description can either only have Awaiting Payment or Awaiting Fulfillment status, regardless of the actual status of order.
