Prevent certain Generic Inquiries from being edited

 ​@jmorgan I believe you would need to remove the customizer role from them to stop them from editing/creating GIs. This is probably not practical though, but there is an option for pre-built system GIs (like AR Invoices & Memos primary list) in the clipboard to Reset to Default:

As you say, restricting the editing of GI’s defeats the purpose of  allowing the client being able to create their own GI’s.

Yeah, this can be a problem. Training users to make their own copy of a GI rather than editing an existing GI is probably the best way to go. Also taking regular system snapshots.
