I recently turned on Real-Time sync to Prepare & Process Sales Orders in Acumatica. I tested this in a sandbox environment and thought I caught everything, but I missed that it is not longer triggering the Business Event I set up to send customers Order Confirmations.
We have 2 Reasons for enabling the Real-Time sync:
- Provide the customer with an email confirmation quicker than the scheduled automation task was providing (We send through Acumatica instead of BigCommerce to provide the customer with the Acumatica SO#)
- Orders with Multiple Shipments were only ever getting the first shipment synced back into Acumatica. I tested this in our sandbox and Real-Time sync was consistently syncing all shipments for every order.
Is this a known bug, and would there be something in my business event I could update to send an order confirmation email out on a record creation, but make sure it doesn’t send multiples on any changes?
*note: Sandbox was tested in 2022 R2(22.214.0019) as we will be upgrading to 2022 R2(22.214.0019) from 2021 R2(21.215.0016) in the next month, but the problem was present in both versions
