How to set minimum transfer quantity lots

Forum|alt.badge.img

We sell oil by the litre however we transfer to our warehouses by the bottle (5 litres/bottle).  How do we set replenishment up so that it will transfer in 5 litre lots?

Hi @steph23,

If you set your base unit of measure to “Bottle” (even though Bottle is not the most granular UOM, a warning message will show) with a conversion factor of 1 liter = 0.2 bottle, then when when you do the transfer system will suggest transfer quantity in bottles.

On the Stock Item form, you have the ability to define different Unit Of Measures.

Read through the on-line help for Stock Items (Unit of Measure section) to see if that helps.

My guess is that you need to set the Base UoM to litr and Sales UoM to bottle

HI @steph23

Along with what @angierowley75 stated, have you also set the replenishment parameters on the item?

Hi @kandybeatty49 and @angierowley75 ,

We sell by the litre so setting UOM for sell to bottle would cause us issues, right?  We need it to default to litre for selling.  Sorry, we are still new to this system and still trying to get our heads around how it all works.

Here are the replenishment settings we currently have set

Is still tried to transfer 4 litres.

Here are our UOM settings:

HI @steph23

Did you try to change the purchase unit to adjust for the transfer of the replensihment?

@kandybeatty49 No we always had it as bottle on the purchase UOM as we buy by the bottle, transfer by the bottle but sell by the litre.
