Westpac corporate credit card bank feeds

Despite the fact that there is a built-in “Westpac Business Credit Cards” option in the Financial Institution field on the Apply for Bank Feed screen, the credit cards cannot be found in the drop-down bank account field on Westpac website. Our client called Westpac and the reply was “credit cards can’t be set through Bank Feeds”. I put a question mark on this reply and am wondering if there is anyone setting up Westpac credit card bank feeds before?

My understanding if that currently Westpac Corporate Credit Cards are unsupported for bank feeds to MYOB by Westpac in online banking.

I’ve got a few unclear details on this, but I believe it is possible for the customer’s account manager can manage to give the required passcode to the right team internally at Westpac at which point Westpac can start sending the data to MYOB.

My recommendation for this situation is that the customer check directly with their account manager if they can get bank feeds for their banking product, and that they offer to provide a passcode for online banking signup if that would assist.

Update with confirmed information from Westpac:

If your customer has:

Westpac Corporate Banking- 
Then they will need to fill in a paper form to get bankfeeds of their cards.

This can include Westpac Business Credit Cards.


If your customer has:

Westpac Corporate Credit Cards
This is a specific banking product that is offered.
These cards cannot have bankfeeds subscribed to them at present.

 

 

So:

  • WORKS EASILY: Westpac Personal & Westpac Business accounts
    Sign up online using the instructions in internet banking (Westpac Live)
     
  • WORKS: Westpac Corporate Customers
    Requires a paper form.
    All local currency (AUD) bank account products. (Or NZD accounts if this is a Westpac NZ customer)
    All Business credit cards or mastercards.
     
  • DOES NOT WORK: Westpac Corporate Credit Cards
    This is a specific banking product, Corporate customers might have business credit cards.

Thanks for the further details Will.

I got an update from our client that they managed to contact the bank via a relationship manager and received some instruction from a specialist to “add the account which is linked to all 5 credit cards.” No further information was given but it seems that they added a new account to link to multiple credit cards based on my understanding. We will have to wait some more time to verify the outcome. And then I will update this post accordingly.
