I am working on an import scenario to create new customers. The site has multi base currency and two branches AU and US.

I’m feeding the Restrict visibility to field in the import scenario yet getting this error.

Hi @kalanthie

Please attach the import scenario. Also, to which company were you logged on and what is the visibility restriction set for Customers?

Regards,

Possible Causes & Fixes:
Incorrect Field Mapping in the Import Scenario

Ensure that the "Restrict Visibility To" field is mapped correctly in your import scenario.
Verify that the correct internal field name is used (e.g., VisibilityRestriction or similar).
Try manually setting the value for one record in Acumatica to confirm the expected format.
Missing or Invalid Value in Data Source

Check if your data source includes valid branch values (AU or US).
If your site has multi-base currency, ensure that the branch currency aligns with the customer class.
Ensure values match what Acumatica expects (e.g., "AU" or "US" and not full names like "Australia" or "United States").
Required Fields Missing Dependencies

Some fields depend on others being set first. Ensure "Branch," "Customer Class," and "Currency" are correctly populated before "Restrict Visibility To."
Try setting default values for testing.
Field Requires List or Predefined Values

The "Restrict Visibility To" field may only accept values from a predefined list.
Try manually selecting an option in Acumatica to see the exact values expected.
If necessary, update your import file to match these values.
Acumatica Caching Issue

If you've corrected the data and still see errors, clear the cache (Tools -> Clear Cache) and retry.
Next Steps:
Double-check the import scenario mappings.
Manually create a test customer and observe the required format for "Restrict Visibility To."
Verify that your data source contains the correct values.
Try setting a default visibility value in your import scenario.

I dont see the mapping in the provided import scenario.

Kindly Update your mapping from Financials→ Restrict visibility to

Note: If the Multiple Base Currencies feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form, the setting in this box is required for a regular customer and optional for a customer that has been extended from a branch. If a customer is not associated with any entity, it is visible and can be used by any company in the tenant. You can select an entity in this box if for the customer there are no transactions whose base currency is different from the base currency of the selected entity.
