Hello community,

We would like to know why our YTD Net Income Account does not move to Retained Earnings for the start of the new year?  See below, this is from the Acumatica website, on what is supposed to happen at year end and the start of the new year.  Ours is not doing this, how do we make this happen as the system is designed to work?

Based on this article...

Thanks in advance.

Hello @jorgep17

On the General Ledger Preferences screen check if the “Normal” sign has been for “Sign of the Trial Balance”. This impacts the way YTD Net Income and Retained Earnings is presented in the Reports

Regards,

Amaan

Yes, we have it set to normal, and the report is showing the amount correctly, it just does not move the balance atter year end to retained earnings  and start back at zero for start of new year.
