This is just a general question. What is the purpose for Location on the Payments and Applications (AR302000) screen? As far as I can tell it doesn’t do anything. Is there any use cases for Location?

The customer location associated with the sale. Customer Location is used in case the Customer has multiple Locations. So when selling, which Location do you sell at? And when the Customer makes a Payment, which Customer Location makes the Payment?

Customer location in Payments and Applications (AR302000) is used for several reasons
- In the payment document, the Location field is also used to indicate the customer's location. This is very helpful for filtering and adding payments and prepayments made to various sales orders/ SO invoices or service order billing document according to the designated location.
- For credit card payments, this field is used to identify the processing center linked to the chosen payment method as well as the default payment method for the consumer.
