Expand unit cost to 5 decimal places .00000

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi,

I’ve had a request to expand our purchase order unit cost from 3 to 5 decimal places… is this possible? The only place I see for precision is in Currencies.

My concern is that even if I could expand from 3 to 5, all our other costs are 3 decimal places, would this cause an issue?

HI @swartzfeger

The only place to change decimal places is on the Companies preferences. However, if you change that here, it will affect all your pricing such as on invoices and sales orders as well.

Hi @swartzfeger

The other part I wanted to mention about this is that it may cause rounding issues, so I would test it in a different environment before you do this in Production.

Thanks Kandy, that’s exactly what I needed… this looks like it will affect all costs so we will definitely test in our sandbox. Thanks again.
