Customer wants to build a prototype product using Production Job. Once all the cost accumulated on the Job, what is the best way to transfer it to Fixed Asset? is there any way to transfer Inventory Items to asset register/module?
any better way i.e using Project to build the Prototype and Moving to asset register?

My initial thought is that Project Accounting would be able to capture all of the costs associated with prototyping the product. You could then create the fixed asset with that cost. I don’t think there is an automatic way of taking the completed project cost into Fixed Assets, but it would be a great suggestion to submit to Acumatica on the Product Ideas section of the Community site.
I have a similar issue for a customer that is trying to capture the costs of his projects and at least easily identify them to capitalize in a fixed asset. In the window to ‘convert purchases to assets’ this is linked to general ledger accounts (which include the project/task fields in the tables with Project Accounting enabled), if the window would at least expose the project field, you could easily identify the costs to the project to be included in the asset. Maybe would only take a simple modification to the convert window to expose the project? This would be a great enhancement to the project and fixed asset modules so they could work together.
