Is it possible to use a contains filter in an ARMS report Profit and Loss like you can use with a GI? My client heavily uses sub-accounts and they want to be able to use "contains" filters with sub-accounts. For example, they want to be able to filter for the second segment in the subacount. So if they filter for '10' they would see the selected rows as you can see:

Hello,

Please try a subaccount filter in the Row Set’s Data Source like this: ???CON for contains CON.

Subaccount 000CON in Demo Trial Balance
Filter Start Sub using ??? wildcard to choose second segment

HI @estebanperalta54

It does not filter like a GI but you could create them a new report and add the report definition for sub accounts. That may get them closer to what they are looking for.

The same with Row Set, you could

What worked best for us was to use the column set to filter out the P&L by cost centers. This helped avoid having to go through all the row sets.

Hi @Laura02, does wildcard work on other parameters like Company, Branch and GL Accounts?

Hello Reza, I did a quick test using BRANCH wildcards and it seems to work.  By’ seems to work’, I mean I’m getting different numbers in each column.

Thank you @Laura02. I had a look at the “Data Source” help file on Acumatica and there is no mention of the Wildcard support. Is there any source that we can refer to or do you have any personal note that you are willing to share with the community?

Hello,

I know from experience that wildcards work on Subaccounts and Branches. (I found out about the Branches today, when I tested them.)

I have nothing else to share but can recommend that anyone wondering about Accounts, etc. perform a small test using Data Source fields in their Row Set or Column Set.
