Not able to approve purchase orders after importing an approval map which worked fine in the training tenant


Hello,

 

Our purchase orders were being approved ‘manually’ (without the approval map). We tested an approval and assignment map in a training tenant and it worked fine. We imported the map into the live tenant and  now no one is able to approve purchase orders. 

I removed the approval details on the purchase order preferences, and this does not allow purchase orders to be approved, in fact, the approval step is not available (grayed out). 

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Hello @kandybeatty49 and @Laura02 the maps are now working, it seems to have been the order in which some steps were placed, and a couple of functional errors.

The map is now working. Thanks much for your assistance.

Hello Paula,

I think it will help us to answer if we can see the Approval map as it looks in Test, and see the approval map as it looks in the live tenant, with screen shots so we can see the steps, including the part that is grayed out. 

Did you already open the maps side by side in two browser screens and compare all the fields?

Do you see any messages on the Purchase Orders?  Can you show the Approvals tab of a PO?

Are there any differences in approval access rights between the two tenants?  Are there differences in the Users or segments of the company tree (the people who are the approvers)?

It may be helpful to know your version and any other steps you may have already tried.

Is it possible to Type in the same Approval Map with screens side-by-side, with a new name as a work-around solution ?

Comparing the two maps is my next step. I am in transit now and will do so soonest. Will submit screenshots as recommended and perform other steps.

 

We upgraded to the latest version on Friday Mar 3.
