Training Description: This webinar shows how to create a workflow for a data entry form by using the workflow API of Acumatica Framework. The course describes in detail how to define and customize a workflow to change the state of an entity in Acumatica ERP. After you complete all the lessons of the course, you will be familiar with the programming techniques for the definition of custom workflows and the customization of existing workflows in Acumatica ERP.

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over four days as follows:

• Day 1: Set Up the Basic Parts of the Workflow. In this session, you will learn how to determine the set of states of a document in the workflow, define the set of states for the workflow, create the screen configuration method, and enable workflow validations.
• Day 2: Creating a Custom Workflow. In this session, you will learn how to define and configure workflow actions, define a default category for workflow actions, define and configure workflow states, and define a simple transition. You will also learn how to define a condition in a workflow, specify a condition for a transition, and unite transitions into a group. Moreover, you will learn how to define a dialog box in a workflow and specify a dialog box for an action.
• Day 3: Incorporating an Existing Workflow into a Custom Workflow. In this session, you will learn how to define a DAC field assignment with the workflow API methods and define the location of the button and command associated with a workflow action. also, you will learn how to explore the code of the predefined workflow to find the event, create a custom event handler, bind the event handler to an event, register an event handler in a particular state, implement a transition triggered by an event, and override the Persist method.
• Day 4: Customizing an Existing Workflow. In this session, you will learn how to derive the value for a custom field from another form, create a custom event, and override a method to fire the event. Moreover, you will learn how to update an existing screen configuration, define a new action category, and define a workflow action based on a graph action.

Partner Certification: This webinar is based on the materials of the T270 Workflow APIs course, which is part of the Application Developer badge. Completion of this class does not give you an automatic completion of the related course at Partner University; you will still need to complete the exam at Partner University.

She also has hands-on experience on the cloud and continuous Integration and continuous development pipelines working on modernization projects.

In addition, Varthini has been the president of the Project management club during her MBA in Concordia University and has hosted events to encourage the use of Project Management in all walks of business.

Prerequisites­

• You should be familiar with the basic concepts of Acumatica Framework and complete the following training courses:
  • T200 Maintenance Forms
  • T210 Customized Forms and Master-Detail Relationship
  • T220 Data Entry and Setup Forms
• You should have proficiency with C#, knowledge of main concepts of ASP.NET and web development, and experience with SQL server.

Advance Preparations: None. Attendees will have access to the virtual machine with the pre-installed Acumatica ERP cloud instance and tenant for training purposes.
