Training Description: This webinar introduces you to the maintenance of the Acumatica ERP system. You will learn how to tailor the user interface based on your company's business processes, how to manage tenants and snapshots, set up an automatic processing, and how to manage customization projects. You will also learn how to monitor system performance and troubleshoot the system-related issues, how to maintain database and update the system by using the web interface, and how to build search indexes.

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over three days as follows:

  • Day 1: Tailoring the Appearance of the Acumatica ERP Instance. In this session, you will learn how to modify the set of workspace menu items on the main menu by using Menu Editing mode and the contents of a workspace by using Menu Editing mode, change a form location on the main menu by modifying the system site map, and how to display a company logo on the UI for your Acumatica ERP company or a company branch. You will also learn how to change the primary color of the color theme selected for your Acumatica ERP tenant and override the primary color of the color theme selected for your Acumatica ERP tenant on the company and branch level.
  • Day 2: Managing Tenants, Snapshots, Customization Projects, and Scheduled Processing. In this session, you will learn how to create a tenant for testing purposes, copy an existing tenant for testing purposes, convert a production tenant to a test tenant, and delete a tenant. Moreover, you will learn how to take a snapshot of tenant-specific content, export a snapshot to external storage, review the manifest.xml file of the snapshot to find out its details, import a snapshot, and restore a snapshot in a destination tenant. You will learn how to schedule automatic processing, view the history of executions, and delete the history of scheduled processes
  • Day 3: Maintaining System Health. In this session, you will learn how to import deployment packages to a tenant, publish multiple customization projects to an instance, unpublish the projects. Also, you will learn how to monitor currently running processes, and discover and analyze any threads that are currently frozen or no longer responding, review the list of active users, track memory and CPU utilization, analyze a log of system events, monitor the statuses of push notifications and business event queues, use the Request Profiler tool, and use the Developer Tools of the browser. You will also learn how to monitor the size of a database, optimize and clean up a database, build search indexes, configure update preferences, prepare for update, schedule the system lockout and unlock the system afterward, and install a minor update.

*To provide an instance for attendees, we need to generate a registration report, deploy the instances, and send out the credentials. All this takes time and we have to do it several hours before the webinar. So we highly recommend not leaving the registration up to the last minute of the webinar start. David has worked many years in hardware and software support including analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption. Supported ticketing systems, MDM, Desktop/Laptop support, VPN connectivity, Intranet, Microsoft Office, Accounting, ERP, JDE, Kronos and several POS systems.

Prerequisites­

You should complete the A150 Getting Started with Acumatica ERP course to know how to manipulate data on an Acumatica ERP form, that is, how to fill in the data on a form, select values from a lookup table, add records to a table.

Advance Preparations: None. Attendees will be provided with an instance for training purposes.
