Training Description: This webinar is is based on a set of examples of web integration scenarios that demonstrate the processes of developing a client application that uses the Acumatica ERP contract-based REST API. The course gives you ideas about how to develop your own applications by using the REST API. It demonstrates the main elements of the REST API and its use in typical tasks that integrate Acumatica ERP with third-party applications.

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over two days as follows:

  • Day 1: Client Application Configuration and Initial Data Retrieval. In this session, you will learn how to sign in to and sign out from Acumatica ERP through the REST API. You will also learn how to retrieve the data from an Acumatica ERP data entry form and how to retrieve the list of records from a generic inquiry form.
  • Day 2: Retrieval of the Delta of Records and Creation of a Customization Package. In this session, you will learn how to retrieve the list of records that were modified within a period, how to configure Acumatica ERP to send push notifications to an HTTP address. Moreover, you will learn how to include in a customization project all necessary items that were created in Acumatica ERP for an integration application, and export the customization project as a ZIP file

Partner Certification: This class is based on the materials of the I310 Data Retrieval with REST API Basics course, which is part of the REST API Integration Developer badge. Completion of this class does not give you an automatic completion of the related course at Partner University; you will still need to complete the exam at Partner University.

*To provide a virtual machines (VM) for attendees, we need to generate a registration report, deploy the VMs, and send out the credentials. All this takes time and we have to do it several hours before the webinar. So we highly recommend not leaving the registration up to the last minute of the webinar start. Everyone who registers after 6 AM PT of Day 1 session will not receive the link to the VM and credentials for it and will have to attend a webinar in a view-only format.

In the role of Technical Account Manager, Samuel helps ISVs with their inquiries about best practise and also make that they are followed properly when the time comes for the certification of their solution. Previously to being an Account manager, Samuel was a Technical Consultant in the dev support team and was helping partner and customer with their development issue, while taking most of the support case that had a link to the integration side of Acumatica.

Prerequisites­

You should be familiar with the basic principles of Acumatica ERP and of the creation of generic inquiries in Acumatica ERP. We recommend that you complete the S130 Data Retrieval and Analysis training course before you go through this course.

Advance Preparations: None. Attendees will have access to the virtual machine with the pre-installed Acumatica ERP cloud instance and tenant for training purposes.
