Training Description: This webinar provides a set of lessons that illustrate project accounting processes in a midsize company.

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over three days as follows:

  • Day 1: Project Billing. In this session, you will configure a progress billing rule, update the project progress to make it ready to be billed, run project billing for a project, process the documents that have been generated during the project billing, and review how the project’s actual amounts are updated with the billed amounts. You will also learn how to configure a time and material billing rule, make sure that the project is ready to be billed, run project billing for a project, process the documents that have been generated during the project billing, and review how the project’s actual amounts are updated with the billed amounts. You will learn how to configure the pro forma invoice workflow for a project, create a pro forma invoice, print the pro forma invoice, send the pro forma invoice as an email, and create an accounts receivable invoice based on a pro forma invoice.
  • Day 2: Budget and Balances. Capturing Costs for Projects. In the second session, you will learn how to configure the revenue budget and the cost budget for a project, update actual values of the project budget, and review project balances by using Acumatica ERP reports and forms. You will learn how to enter the accounts payable bill for the project, specify the services to be purchased, and release the bill, review the project and GL transactions that are generated during the processing of a purchase, configure a project to track project inventory by warehouse location, process documents with project-related stock items, and review project and GL transactions that have been generated during the processing of item sales and purchases. Moreover, you will set up the tracking of project commitments in the system, create commitments by creating a purchase order for a project, and review how the commitments affect the project cost budget during the processing of the purchase order.
  • Day 3: Creation of Projects. In this session, you will become familiar with the entering a billable time activity and card related to a project, and log the time spent for the project, and with billing a project for employees’ time spent working on it. You will create a project template, a common task, a project based on the project template, and add a task to the project by using the common task. Moreover, you will learn how to create a project quote from scratch and a project quote based on an opportunity, specify the settings of a project quote by using a project template, estimate the potential revenue and costs of a potential project, and create a project based on a project quote.

*To provide a cloud instance for attendees, we need to generate a registration report and perform some activities to deploy the instance and send out the credentials. All this takes time and we have to do it several hours before the webinar. So we highly recommend not leaving the registration up to the last minute of the webinar start. Everyone who registers after 6 AM PT of Day 1 session will not receive the link to the cloud instance and credentials for it and will have to attend a webinar in a view-only format.

Instructor: Daria Chuprova

As a Senior Business Analyst, Daria Chuprova is responsible for analysing business scenarios and product requirements, designing new features, and writing functional specifications for Project & Construction team. In addition to that, Daria works with support requests as L3 analyst.

Before joining Acumatica Daria was a Senior Business Analyst at Sberbank Technologies, where she focused on developing PIM system for internal and external clients. Prior to that, she worked at IQmen IBS as a Business Analyst, where she participated in the development of an ATS system.

In addition to business analysis, Daria was working as an Implementation Consultant of SAP SuccessFactors and ATS systems.
