Audience: This webinar is intended for implementation consultants of the manufacturing functionality of Acumatica ERP.
Acumatica ERP Experience Required: at least 1 year
Who Should Attend (relationship to Acumatica):
- Partners who implement Acumatica ERP manufacturing functionality for customers
- Professionals who want to learn Acumatica ERP
Acumatica ERP version: 2024 R1
Training Description: This webinar introduces the Acumatica ERP Manufacturing Edition functionality based on a set of examples that illustrate implementation of the basic manufacturing processes, that is, bills of material, production management, and inventory planning, in a midsize company.
Training Syllabus: The program is covered over four days as follows:
- Day 1: Preparing the System for Manufacturing Implementation. In this session, you will learn how to enable the needed set of features before you start implementing manufacturing, specify the required settings to prepare the system for implementing manufacturing, and create stock items involved in manufacturing.
- Day 2: Managing Production Cost Drivers, Work Centers, and Bills of Material. In the second session, you will define the labor codes, overhead entities, tools, and machines to ensure their costs are included in the production item's total cost. You will also create a work calendar for overtime work, shifts that will be used in work centers, and the work centers that will be involved in manufacturing. You will learn how to prepare the system for the creation of bills of material and create and activate a bill of material.
- Day 3: Configuring Production Order Types, Production of Lot- or Serial-Tracked Items, and Outside Processing. In this session, you will learn how to create a production order type for each of the following categories of production orders: regular, planning, and disassembly. You will also learn how to prepare the system to recording the production of lot- or serial-tracked items, create a bill of material for producing lot- or serial-tracked items, and specify settings that control the assignment of lot or serial numbers for a production order of the type. You will create a dedicated work center for outside processing, include an outsourced operation in the bill of materials, determine the item type for recording subcontractor charges, and establish the method for storing and delivering materials used in outside processing.
- Day 4: Configuring Production with Backflushing, Scrap and Waste in Production, and Inventory Planning. In this session, you will create a work center with the default settings for backflushing materials or labor and a bill of material for producing items and backflushing materials or labor for some operations. You will learn how to set up the costs of material waste to be applied to production orders, set up scrap to be recorded in production-related transactions, and create reason codes for scrap. Moreover, you will create the master production schedule (MPS) type, define system settings for inventory planning functionality, create inventory planning buckets, set up relevant stock items and warehouses for inventory planning, and configure the system to incorporate transfers in inventory planning.
Date and time: This training meets the following four times, and attendees are expected to attend all four sessions:
- Mon, June 10, 2024 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM PT
- Tue, June 11, 2024 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM PT
- Wed, June 12, 2024 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM PT
- Thu, June 13, 2024 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM PT
*To provide a cloud instance for attendees, we need to generate a registration report and perform some activities to deploy the instance and send out the credentials. All this takes time and we have to do it several hours before the webinar. So we highly recommend not leaving the registration up to the last minute of the webinar start. Everyone who registers after 6 AM PT of Day 1 session will not receive the link to the cloud instance and credentials for it and will have to attend a webinar in a view-only format.
Partner Certification: This webinar is based on the materials of the M100 Basic Manufacturing Implementation course, which is part of the Manufacturing Business Consultant badge. Completion of this class does not give you an automatic completion of the related course at Partner University; you will still need to complete the exam at Partner University.
