Training Description: This webinar introduces the Acumatica ERP inventory and order management functionality based on a set of examples that illustrate extended sales and purchases processes in a midsize company.

Training Syllabus: The program is covered over four days as follows:

  • Day 1: Extended Inventory Scenarios. In this session, you will prepare the system for the creation of warehouses, create warehouses, specify warehouse-specific settings for stock items and prices, and use a warehouse as a source of GL accounts for posting classes. You will also learn how to create and configure warehouse locations, perform a single-step transfer between warehouse locations, view item availability by location, record the movement of stock items between warehouses by using a two-step transfer, and find information about items in transit. Moreover, you will configure the tracking of items with lot and serial numbers and process purchase and sales documents that contain lot- and serial-tracked items.
  • Day 2: Managing Drop-Shipping Sales and Returns. In the second session, you will learn how to configure the processing of drop shipments in Acumatica ERP, mark items for drop shipment in a sales order, create a drop-ship purchase order for a sales order and process the drop shipment to completion, mass-process drop shipments, process the sales order and related purchase documents, inventory documents, and accounts payable documents, and find the information about documents related to drop shipment. You will also create a return order and add the drop-shipped items to this order, create a purchase return (that is, a purchase order of the Return type) for the drop-shipped items, and process the purchase return and the related documents.
  • Day 3: Sales with Insufficient Stock. In this session, you will become familiar with the processing of purchases for sale in Acumatica ERP, create a sales order, and mark the items to be purchased for the sale, create a purchase order linked to a sales order, mass-create purchase orders, process the sales order and related purchase documents, inventory documents, and accounts payable documents, and find information about documents related to a purchase for sale. Also, you will create a sales order with items allocated in different warehouses, prepare a transfer order for a sales order, process a transfer order to completion to transfer the included items and process a sales order after the items have been transferred to the destination warehouse. You will create a purchase order with stock items, prepare an accounts payable bill for the purchase order, prepare and release a purchase receipt and the related inventory documents, change the default prepayment amount for a vendor, create a prepayment request for a purchase order and a prepayment from a prepayment request. In addiion, you will learn how to apply a prepayment to an accounts payable bill created for a purchase order and process a single and multiple prepayment for a purchase order.
  • Day 4: Extended Sales and Purchase Scenarios. In this session, you will create a sales invoice for a direct sale, add to the sales invoice a sale line not linked and with a link to a previously prepared sales order, process the direct sale to completion, create a credit memo (an invoice of the Credit Memo type) for a direct return, add to the credit memo a return line with a link to an original sales document, add to the credit memo a replacement line, and process the direct return to completion. You will also learn how to become familiar with the general settings and workflow of a mixed order, create a mixed order, and process a sale with a return in a mixed order and the related documents.

All this takes time and we have to do it several hours before the webinar. So we highly recommend not leaving the registration up to the last minute of the webinar start. Everyone who registers after 6 AM PT of Day 1 session will not receive the link to the cloud instance and credentials for it and will have to attend a webinar in a view-only format.

Completion of this class does not give you an automatic completion of the related course at Partner University; you will still need to complete the exam at Partner University.
