Audience: This webinar is intended for financial consultants who implement basic processes of managing value-added taxes functionality of Acumatica ERP.

Training Description: This webinar illustrates the basic processes of managing value-added taxes functionality of Acumatica ERP as well as the configuration that underlies this processing.
Training Syllabus: The program is covered over three days as follows:
- Day 1: Configuring Value-Added Taxes and Processing Documents with Value-Added Taxes. By attending this webinar, you will gain an understanding of how to create a tax agency for tax reporting purposes, create and release an AP bill containing a VAT, create and process a debit adjustment that contains a VAT, and create and process a sales order with value-added taxes applied to the order line and freight charge.
- Day 2: Preparing a Tax Report for VAT and Configuring and Applying Withholding Taxes. As part of this webinar, you will learn how to create a cash entry in Acumatica ERP and automatically apply taxes to it. You will also learn how to set up a tax paid directly to the tax agency, create a tax bill, process taxable purchases, and prepare AP documents with expense and direct-entry tax lines. Aside from preparing a tax report, releasing the tax report, and closing the tax period, you will be able to configure a withholding tax, prepare a revised tax report, pay the AP bill, and process a taxable transaction using the new tax.
- Day 3: Adjusting VAT for Early Payments and Configuring and Applying VAT Variations. The webinar sessions will conclude with instructions on preparing a taxable invoice, processing payments within the cash discount period, creating a credit memo to adjust VAT amounts, configuring the content of a tax report for multiple variations of value-added tax, and defining the rules for the accumulation of data within the report lines. Additionally, we will learn how to process AP bills with partially deductible VAT. Moreover, you will learn how to review partially deductible VAT on the tax report, prepare a tax report containing the reverse VAT, process an AP bill with reverse VAT applied to it, prepare a tax report that includes reverse VAT, handle an AR invoice with a pending VAT, process partial payments for the invoice, recognize the pending output VAT, prepare and release a tax report, and reconcile the balance of the Pending Tax Payable account in the general ledger and the tax subledger.

Instructor: Jim Bartow
Jim is a CPA with over 25 years of ERP Business Consulting and Advisory Services to a diverse set of clients in the Services, Distribution, Entertainment and Manufacturing industries.
His financial expertise ranges across roles in Management Advisory and Strategic Planning consulting, Public Audit and Assurance Services, and as a CFO. He earned his CPA while working in Price Waterhouse Coopers audit services group.
Today, Jim is an ERP Implementation Consultant with Acumatica’s Services team focused as the subject matter lead for advanced financials requirements on implementation and consulting engagements.
Prerequisites
For this training, attendees are expected to complete the F100 Financial Basics course and be familiar with the basic processes that can be performed in the general ledger and subledgers of Cash Management, Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable.
Advance Preparations
None. Attendees will be provided with a cloud instance and tenant for training purposes.
