Client sells to Distributors, Chains, Retail Outlets. They can ship the same item in a Pallet, Master Pack, Inner Pack or Each. For the purposes of compliance, they have to provide the weight and dimension of each of the shipping methods, although the UOM on the SALE is EACH. We have Acumatica and Pace Jet and are looking to see if someone has tackled this before and is there a way to best handle this other than attributes?

Hello @jkasprzyk98 ,

I haven’t worked on this scenario before, but maybe,

  1. You can create separate packaging items to represent each shipping method, such as Pallet, Master Pack, Inner Pack, and Each. Set the weight and dimensions specific to each packaging item. When processing sales orders, you can select the appropriate packaging item based on the desired shipping method.
  2. While the UOM on the sales order may be specified as Each, you can set up UOM conversions in Acumatica to relate Each to the other shipping methods (Pallet, Master Pack, Inner Pack). By defining the conversion rates, you can easily calculate the weight and dimensions for different shipping methods based on the Each UOM.

Regards.
