DRP and Purchase Returns for Overstock

Forum|alt.badge.img

Does DRP assist in planning for overstock purchase returns?

Thank you for the clarification!

Currently the closest functionality to this is a delete recommendation which occurs when there is a supply order not fulfilling demand (re-order point or actual demand).

There is no exception message for exceeding a maximum stocking quantity (less demand). I would suggest creating an idea for planning up to a maximum stocking quantity for DRP.

I am not familiar with overstock purchase returns. Would you be able to provide an example as to what this might look like in your organization and what assistance you are looking for from DRP? Is it when a max quantity is breached that a return is initiated, or are you referring to when a customer cancels an order and a Purchase Order was already placed, or something else entirely?

@andrestamour43 I was hoping DRP could look at quantity on hand less allocations less min/max, and create a PO Return for the balance.
