Customer loyalty points/ rewards

Does anyone have a solution for customer loyalty/rewards in Acumatica? I know it is not out of the box functionality. 

What are some options you have found?

I believe this is a feature gap, here’s a feedback idea to review for this functionality.

My raw thoughts / crazy ideas without solutioning are… 

  • Create stock item for Rewards
  • Create cross-reference for each customer?
  • Create GI to calculate value of reward points?
    • Qty/UOM = points
    • Amount = value of points based on formula
    • GI created to accumulate points based on running total of purchase amounts?
  • Business event to update default price?
    • Cost to remain 0
    • Price would be negative amount (reduction to sales order total)
  • Customer specific price for reward stock item?
    • To associate the reward
  • *or do rewards accumulate outside of ERP?
  • *through eCommerce - customer applies reward points?
  • *reward points are tied to discount or stock/non-stock item as separate line on the sales order
  • Virtual warehouse/warehouse location needed to track qty/points?
  • Side panel in the SO and customer record for viewing reward points available?
