Please check the screenshot below. Is there a workaround to remove the customer name(highlighted part) from the Sales Order form title? I examined the SO301000 ASPX using the 'Edit ASPX' option in the Customization Project Editor, but finding the title was difficult.

To remove the customer name from the title, create a customization project, add the Sales Order screen (SO301000), and set the ‘HeaderDescriptionField’ to null as shown in the attached screenshot. Hope this helps.
You can modify the part after the OrderType/Order Number by setting the HeaderDescriptionValue (turn off filtered properties and look under the DataSource) to a different field or maybe set it to something you know will always be empty. I set it to Description below and it shows empty.
I think you can also update the Selector for the Order Number to change the Description there too.
