It appears the quote screen within opportunities is not the same as it lives within the CRM. When we quote a customer we also quote freight. How do we do this within opportunities/quotes?

How are charging the freight? Or quoting it? Could you create a stock item FREIGHT and use that?

Thanks for the quick reply
That actually could work for now, but the one missing piece we need in order to quote the amount of freight is the item weights or the weight of the entire order. We then use this information to quote via motor freight service like Fedex. Is there a way to add the weight field to the line item grid within sales quotes?

There is nothing out of the box right now. You would need a customization for that.
