Hi , We have recently upgraded to Acumatica 2024 R2, and we are experiencing an issue where emails no longer automatically include a standard email address in the BCC field, which was previously working as expected in the earlier version 23R1. Additionally, we have noticed that the BCC data appears to have been removed after the upgrade.

While we understand that Acumatica does not have a specific configuration for this behavior, we have not implemented any customizations or third-party integrations that would affect email sending functionality. Given that this was a default behavior prior to the upgrade, we are concerned that something may have changed during the upgrade process, resulting in the loss of the BCC functionality in 24R2.

Above screenshot are sample to explain the issue

This issue is likely due to changes in Acumatica's email handling logic in 2024 R2. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve it:

1. Check Email Account Settings

  • Navigate to System Management → Email Preferences.
  • Verify that the BCC field is still configured correctly in the affected email accounts.
  • If necessary, manually add the default BCC email address back in.

2. Review Notification Templates

  • Go to System Management → Email Notification Templates.
  • Open any template that previously included the BCC field.
  • Verify if the BCC field is still populated or if it was cleared during the upgrade.

3. Verify System Email Settings

  • Navigate to System Management → Email Accounts and check the settings for the affected email accounts.
  • If you were using a default BCC for all emails, confirm whether the setting was removed.

4. Check Automation Steps (if applicable)

  • If your system uses Automation Steps to send emails, check if the BCC field is still being populated correctly.

5. Review Customization Projects

  • Even though you mentioned no customizations, check Customization Projects → Published Customizations to confirm that no modifications were lost or affected by the upgrade.

6. Database Check (If Needed)

  • If you have access to SQL, check the MailAccount table for changes in how BCC addresses are stored.

7. Acumatica Release Notes & Support

  • Review the Acumatica 2024 R2 Release Notes for any changes related to email handling.
  • If no configuration fixes the issue, you may need to reach out to Acumatica Support, as this might be an undocumented change in behavior.

Hope this helps!
