Hi,
A client has recently requested that the Source field in the Contacts screen (first image below) be made mandatory as they are wanting to do some reporting on this field. However, now that it is a required field, users can no longer create a contact via the Business Accounts screen as the dialog box doesn’t have a Source field option for them to fill out. They receive the error shown in the third image below when trying to create a new contact via this method.
For now, I have told them to create contacts in the Contacts screen and assign the relevant Business Account, but they would like to still be able to add contacts in the Business Accounts screen.
Is there a way to add the Source field to this dialog box and ensure the Create Contact process still works as expected? I had a look in the customisation project and I can only choose a small number of fields, as shown in the second image below.
