Some of you may have noticed a new field above 5a on the 941 for 2021 listed in Government Reporting.
The extra field above 5a was added to show the breakdown in SS Wages. Because any COVID pay for leave taken prior to April 1st is not included in line 5a, but COVID pay for leave taken after April 1st is, our tax form company wanted to give you a way to see the breakdown between "regular" SS Wages and COVID SS wages.
This does not affect the filing of the report.
The report will probably change back in 3rd quarter.
