We run the projects module extensively and it would be great if we could have folders within the "files" tab for all the files we need to store against a project.
Is there a way to do this, or a SharePoint integration anywhere that might provide us with an option?

Hmm, ok. Can you get to the general Ideas page here in Community? If you can, search for Folder Structure and it will take you to that idea I linked above.
