Do I need to add a line item to revenue budget FIRST before putting a change order in that will affect my revenue budget? I hate having to add it first and then do a change order but it seems like that what Acumatica requires?

Hello,
It’s possible to use existing project tasks on a Change Order. However, most clients want to leave the original tasks with their budgets intact and have the Change Order post to a new task, and keep the cost/revenue resulting from the Change Order separate.
Therefore, yes, the Task does need to be added to the project.
