Hello,
Does anyone know much about the Welcome Notification?  Now that we’ve switched to SSO with Google, the link sent to new users technically only works for users who have already established their external identity for SSO.

Trying to figure out where UserList.RecoveryLink is stored in ACU so I can update that reference when the welcome notification is sent out… and how do you edit the ‘LOG IN’ button to use the right link as well?  seems like everytime I try to update that button it doesn’t accept my new link:

Hi K2a,

I am not sure I understood the  description of the problem but I can tell you that the process of signing in involves  3 distinct events:

  1. The administrator creates a new native user in Acumatica. When the creation process is complete, a notification template will be triggered and send a Welcome email to the new user. The template must have a link with the site url.
  2. the user clicks on the link in the email body and a web page will be opened to display the Acumatica site’s Welcome page where the user:
    1. Types in user and password and click on LOGIN button to complete the sign-on process
    2. After you have activated SSO with Google, your users have to register their Google accounts with Acumatica ERP by using the User Profile (SM203010) form ( To Activate Your Google or Microsoft Account ). So,the user will use the traditional sign on typing in user and password and then add its external Google identity.
  3. From this moment on,  a user will have two choices for signing in:
    1. Type in user and password and then click clicks on Login button on the Welcome page
    2. Or click on the Google icon on the Welcome page which triggers the sign-on process through Google (if not yet signed on) . If this sign on is successful then the sign-on process is completed and the user is in.

This is to say, the Welcome email is triggered once the user profile is created.
I hope this helps. If not, please let me know more details on what you would like to
configure.

If you look at the picture I posted, there is a variable in the Welcome Email ((USERLIST.RECOVERYLINK)).   Where is that variable stored in Acumatica?  And how do you edit the LOGIN button to change the link?

Hi @K2a  were you able to find a solution? Thank you!

I’m going to say that the HTML helped. I suppose that would be the answer!

For anybody that is still looking, I managed to stumble on at least one place you can edit the UserList.RecoveryLink “variable”.   Got to System Management --> Email Preferences --> Email Preferences, and replace the value in the URL to be used in Notifications: field.
