@markusray17 @ChandrasekharM just to close the loop on this, you both were correct. We are able to call in external urls as per the direction provided. Thank you. Much appreciated.
@Irina i came across this post as i was about to post a new topic that is somewhat similar to this post. SO before i did, figured i’d ask you first. We have a need to dynamically set the from address on a notification template that is triggered/sent out from a business event. The general idea is that we want the from address to be one of our sales associates based on the record that is being sent from the business event GI to the notification template. the data is readily available, however, the selector for “from” only shows the system email accounts that have been setup, and doesn’t allow me to set the from address dynamically. In this scenario, actually each of the associates do in fact have a corresponding system account setup.Do you have any idea as to whether this is possible within Acumatica without creating separate business accounts for each of our associates?
hi @ChandrasekharM - thank you for the reply. I should have mentioned that we not only saw this post, but have implemented similar (if not the same) code a few years back. What we are specifically asking about in this topic is how to bring in images over an external cdn url and NOT from files that live within acumatica/acumatica server, etc… Unless I’m missing something, i don’t think that the stackoverflow post addresses this use case. And just to be clear, we know how we would generate the CDN URL, we just don’t know how to implement the image cdn url pull into the grid. If this were normal html/web markup, it would be relatively straightforward. Hope this helps clarify.
Ok, thank you for this information, all very helpful.
@markusray17 I hope it’s ok to ask a few more questions as we are diving deeper into this. how strict is the location field? Is it like warehouse, where it's essentially carried through on every document where a serial is allocated with all different allocation restrictions? Or is more of a display type field used for tracking and general knowledge without all of the same restrictions that accompany warehouse mgmt? For example, is location required every time you allocate a serial to a document? And if you if so, will sales orders for example, error if you try to process a sale for a serial out of the same warehouse but a different location? I hope i’m making sense, but if not, let me know and i can try to provide more clarity.
Thank you for your reply. This was very helpful. So if I’m interpreting this correctly, the standard process will allow you to enter as it physically exists, and at the end of the process will automatically make the transfers to the correct locations without any further entries needed outside of the standard physical inventory process, right?
