@aaghaei I like the idea of the filter option with different tabs for the statuses, but these advanced filters doesn't get passed to side panels, not sure why :)
@aaghaei Got it, Thank you.Are parameter filter values always only the database field values or they can also be the values entered in the GI with a formula?
@aaghaei What is the benefit of this formula? I could've do the same with the original status field.I did not want to use this method, I wanted to have only 2 options, one for all orders up to the status of “Shipping” and the other one will be all status from “shipping” and further.
We have the same needs, we’re looking for a solution our drivers to capture E-signature, but since we ship a lot of small items, occasionally there are some discrepancies between what’s on the BOL and what the driver is actually delivering, we’re looking for a solution the driver should be able to mark these discrepancies on the BOL per item line, but I don’t want these changes from the driver to change the shipment document in Acumatica they should rather go to a manager for review and approval and then we’ll make the changes accordingly.Any solution this can be accomplished?
@estebanperalta54 I don't think we can use that table as a source for your GI, it doesn't have any data in it, its just a view of other tables in the database, you’ll get an error saying “Invalid object name”
I'm just adding my vote to @gbrazelton14 ,it will definitely be a very useful feature for us, we come across this scenario on a daily basis .
@darylbowman Thanks for your reply, I will try that solution, I’m just concerned if such big formula wont cause any slow down in performance to my GI.with that solution, is there anyway I can add a parameters to this GI and have the ability to filter based on the data in the GI column and not based on the database column? since that GI column will show data in each row from a different column in the database (according to the item class), is there a solution I should be able to work with just 3 parameters to filter within each GI column instead of creating a parameter for each attribute? Similarly how excel filtering works it checks what is actually in the column and you can filter on these values.
@kandybeatty49 Here is a sample image to what I’m referring to, each column below represents a different attribute, items test1 and test2 are from the same item class, and the other items belong to different item classes.
@darylbowman my 1-3 attributes does not have any relation between the item classes, for example for item class A the attributes would be height, width, length and for item class B the attributes would be Item gauge, item Material, and item pack, its all driven on the type of item, I need to store different factors about the item according to the item type
@kyle90 Thank you so much for sharing this trick, it works amazing.unfortunately, we come across this scenario quite often ☹, and I think in a medium size company were really trying to satisfy their customers (and don't want to give that experience that once an order was placed you cant make any changes), it is the norm that a customer should ask to change something in their order and the vendor will try to accommodate it at least until the picking stage isn’t completed.I’m wondering if there is another way of doing this than deleting the shipment or items from the shipment (which means loosing any data already entered in the shipment and more manual work)any solution here will be a great help.
Thanks Naveen for your reply.the only reason I would do create shipment at the stage I still want to make changes in the Sales Order would be to have the ability to use WMS functionality in the system for the pick & pack workflow, otherwise I would just create the shipment at the time I’m ready to lock the sales order of changes.would there be any solution how I can utilize WMS functionality in Acumatica for picking & packing without creating the shipment?
Thank you so much brendan, I’ll go through all these details with my team, I might need your help to develop that missing part.thank you again.
Thank you so much Brendan, that seems to be amazing, the only question I have is how can I get Acumatica use that file while emailing an invoice to the customer and attach the POD to the email as well, as far I know the business events can only pick up a report as an attachment but not a file stored in the file management. Kindly let me know, Thank you so much.
checking back if any progress with the Configure One integration? or any other CPQ solution integration
