Not exactly a Jeep, but Thar (a 4x4 “Jeep-like”) wave from India 😀. Pic from a River Bed in the Himalayas.
Yes, all commerce connectors (BigCommerce, old and new Shopify, as well as Magento) - all support multiple websites to be connected to Acumatica. You just have to create new configurations (one for each site) - where you define the connection parameters. That is the easy part. The part that requires a lot of discussions/configurations/customizations is how to manage different descriptions, images, attribute values, pricing, discounts, etc. on each website for the same product (if each of the sites sell the same product). There are various strategies that can be used for this.
Good call. Yes, customer tracks by Acumatica Edition would be great.
While Acumatica licensing is the way to go, there would be cases that will require building your own: interdependent modules, or if you need to have control of your licensing that is not tied to Acumatica renewals. If you are looking for something more comprehensive, I would recommend this module: https://www.ssware.com/cryptolicensing/cryptolicensing_net.htm for licensing. We have embedded this in a web app, and host it on our servers, and simply make calls to our web server to validate the license for our products periodically. This allows you to send expiration notifications, etc.
We have a couple of customers using them, and the integration is fairly straight forward.
@alijani and @josh.fischer when you build this solution, in addition to Distribution and Manufacturing modules, you also need to support the same in CRM/Quotes as well. This is another thing that keeps coming up from time to time.
@josh.fischer The following payment gateways are supported between Acumatica and Magento (Ability to do Auth/Capture in both systems), and seamless exchange of tokens. Authorize.net PayPal PayFlow Braintree Paya APS Since each PaymentGateway handles the tokens slightly differently, this is specific to the payment gateways.
Other payment gateways that I’m aware of: Velocit Connect (CardConnect CardPointe gateway) Paya Those are 9 and 10 on the list above Dmitry :)
@alijani Would you be able to share the code for one of the implementations? Would like to extend this to USPS Address Lookup, which is what most eCommerce sites use.
No, Kensium Product Configurator (as it appears in the price sheet) focuses on the Distribution Module. It works with Commerce/eCommerce. It does not work with Manufacturing - John Schlemmer and I had a few conversations and we know it is feasible. Basically take the data from the Sales Order and populate the Manufacturing BOM, etc. We decided to take this on when a customer comes along that needs it.
Matrix Items replaces Configurable Products in most cases (there are some where Configurable still fits better). If you need Bundle (Build your own), then the only option out there is the Distribution Product Configurator. Future versions of Acumatica may bring this in-house. Nothing in the works at the moment as far as I am aware.
Paya (Formerly SagePayments) - A good option for customers coming over from Sage.
This is what the Kensium Product Configurator (now owned by Acumatica) provides. This product type is called a “Bundle”.
The Commerce Edition extension for 2019 R2 is beta, and it is recommended to be not used for customer installation.
