If you want to track lost hours on specific projects, without changing any existing configurations, then I would suggest adding a task named “Lost Time” or similar for resources to book time against. You can enter notes against each timesheet line entry to explain the hours.
Hi,I agree it is an inefficient way to achieve what is generally a very common requirement.I would have thought that the purpose of assiging and Approval ID at project level would override the requirement for assiging approverid at task level.The solution we have come up with: We did a customization that populates the project manager (or a “dummy approver”) as the approver at task level, when a new task is created.
Hi,Have you managed to resolve your problem?We have a similar requirement.One can assign approver at task level which will allow the PM to approve all task related activities on his project BEFORE the timecard is available for approval by the employee supervisor.It is not the most efficient way of achieving the objective.
