In Generic Inquiries, we can use Aggregate Functions & Grouping to sum values based on similar key fields, which is a great feature to present summarised data.
Is there a similar way to aggregate rows with the source schema tables in Report Designer? It appears that ‘groups’ in Report Designer refers to grouping sections, and does not appear to perform any aggregation.

You can either use Variables in the detail section that will calculate the fields that you want to aggregate or you can use the aggregation formulas on the group section:
