Does Acumatica have another way to assign Projects to Work Groups at the Project Level other than Approval Maps. I would have assumed a Work Group or PM (assigned at the project level) could follow an AP Approval WorkFlow without users have to go into Approval Maps. Is there another way to assure WorkGroup AP Bill Approval routing can be achieved.

We can assign Project Managers to Projects, we can assign Approvers to Projects, we can assign Approvers to individual Tasks of Projects.

We can route AP Bills automatically for approval (with Approval Maps) to the Project Manager or to the Approvers listed on the project without listing any specific Users/Employees’ names in the Approval Map.

Here is an example Approval Map that routes AP Bills for Approval based on the Project Manager listed on each Project that is used in the AP Bills.  (Use the + to expand choices, and select Project Manager … Acumatica changes ‘project manager’ to OwnerID when it is selected onto Rule Actions tab.)

As @laura01  the only way is to assign approval maps. Have you looked into Business Events? This could help to notify that things need approved also as you can notify when things have changed on a record.
