Hi All,Sorry for the late answer. The issue with recently visited records hanging was solved in the following Acumatica versions: 2021R115, 2021R202.The issue is caused by Import Scenarios DAC (SYMapping), the workaround for the previous version is to delete all records for visited SYMapping entities from VisitedRecord and FavoriteRecord tables. The SQL script should look like this:DELETE VisitedRecordWHERE EntityType='PX.Api.SYMapping'DELETE FavoriteRecordWHERE EntityType='PX.Api.SYMapping'Unfortunately,after the visit of the Import Scenarios screen the issue will reappear and the script has to be executed again.
Hi everyone,I’m one of Acuminator developers. This issue is a top priority task for Acuminator. The amount of work is quite big because of many breaking changes in VS 2022 after the switch to 64 bit. Basically almost all APIs in the SDK for extensions in VS 2022 were changed. Also according to the Microsoft guide here we may need to create a separate Acuminator extension for VS 2022:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/extensibility/migration/update-visual-studio-extension?view=vs-2022We are investigating a possibility to keep it in a single package because there are some VS extensions that managed to do it.Unfortunately, our team also experiences high load with other tasks (there is no dedicated team just for Acuminator) and the features/issues in product have higher priority by default. Therefore, it is not going as fast as I would like. We’ll try to add the support before the summer of 2022.
I’m glad to announce that a new version 3.0.0 of Acuminator is officially released. The new version includes support for Visual Studio 2022.Here is the blog post with the detailed description of the release:https://www.acumatica.com/blog/acuminator-3-0-0
Hi @Troy Vars. The addition of DAC to the Global DAC search is configured by the PXSearchable attribute declared on a NoteID DAC field. You can find detailed information in our help articles:https://help.acumatica.com/(W(181))/Help?ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=3b417be7-81b6-4d83-ad42-034b3cb44105 https://help.acumatica.com/(W(182))/Help?ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=48763210-7355-4067-b3cf-e2629131bfccThere is also a good blog post with the guide to the addition of global DAC search to your DAC:https://www.acumatica.com/blog/technical-tuesday-universal-search-in-acumatica/
Hi @Troy Vars. The global DAC search mechanism requires declared Guid NoteID DAC field with PXNote attribute and PXSearchable attribute. If you add some information from INItemXRef to InventoryItem, even if the search would start displaying new search results, the user will still navigate to InventoryItem from them, not to INItemXRef.On the other hand, INItemXRef DAC does not declare default navigation with PXPrimaryGraph attribute, so the global DAC search still won’t work for it because DAC search relies on default navigation to navigate from search results to actual records. If you take the approach with an extension to InventoryItem then there are few remarks:First, it’s not very good to override all DAC field property attributes. If attributes on a base DAC change, the copy pasted set of attributes will become inconsistent with them. It’s better to minimize the changed attributes in DAC extension with PXMergeAttributesAttribute. Here is the article about this attribute: - http
Hi everyone! There are two public ChatGPT plugins available for people with the paid subscription.First is the Acumatica ERP - Knowledge Assistant. It was created by Pavlo Tsyhanok, one of the external Acumatica developers. Here is the link to the plugin:https://chat.openai.com/g/g-FlbKdQ95d-acumatica-erp-knowledge-assistantAnd here are my requests to it for some demonstration:
And the second plugin is called Acumatica Guide. Unfortunately, I don’t know the author since Chat GPT provides little info on the plugin authors. Here is the link to the plugin:https://chat.openai.com/g/g-5lJzTdkKJ-acumatica-guideHere are my requests:
Hi @Kathlyn,I have heard a positive opinion about Chat GPT integration usage for the onboarding of new employees. It allows people to start working with Acumatica more quickly. Chat GPT can answer simple questions without a need to disturb experienced employees or Acumatica support.Although sometimes the answer may include some false information (so-called “AI illusions”). Everything answered by Chat GPT should be taken with some doubt and checked manually. Still, it can help people to find out how to do some action in the system, and such answers can be checked easily,The amount of AI hallucinations depends on the quality of the Chat GPT integration. Some integrations are faster but with more hallucinations, some are slower but more reliable.
Hi @Naveen Boga,Thank you for writing an article about webhooks in general and Acumatica webhooks in particular. However, there are several important things not covered by the article.First of all, while the article itself mentions the importance of security, the code example in the article does not perform security checks and at the same time uses a privileged admin account and updates the data in the database. This is a major security vulnerability. Developers who copy pasted this code introduced this vulnerability to their product.Second, the recommendation on logging does not consider the already existing Request Log which provides simple webhook logging out of the box, so webhook developers do not need to implement it:https://help.acumatica.com/Help?ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=f4e3f753-3408-409a-b797-1f6d1adf6182The code example in the article does not provide any example of logging. The error processing logic in the example does not log errors and is a bit strange:catch (Excepti
