Report Designer Barcode Settings

We’ve recently started creating a number of reports to use for product and carton labeling.  We have not found any documentation around the Barcode Settings.
 

Can someone point us to the reference material for the Report Designer Barcode Settings?  BarWidth, WidthRation, etc. don’t always respond in the way we would imagine.

It’d be helpful to have some guidance on BarHeight, WidthRatio, etc instead of experimenting blindly.
