We have a fairly simple requirement for row-level security on stock items, but I don’t know if it’s possible to achieve.

The objective isn’t so much to restrict access to sensitive information from users as it is to hide all the unnecessary information that simply makes mistakes more likely.

We are a manufacturer and would like to be able to only allow users to select the items that they need to work with.

A prime example of this. Subassembly production employees should only be able to select the subassembly items that they are responsible to keep stocked. One person only builds door panel assemblies, but since they are also able to see other inventory, they sometimes accidentally create production orders for other items with a similar inventoryCD.

I created restriction groups to only show them the items they build, but then they are unable to create production orders since those contain raw material inventory items which would now be hidden by the restriction group.

Does anyone have ideas for how we might solve this issue?
