Aside from the use of attributes in a nonstock item is there any functionality that lets us add lead times to a nonstock item?

Hello,

Replenishment features are designed for use with items that are stocked; therefore the standard Non-stock items screen has no replenishment-related features.

Purchase Settings tab of Vendors screen contains a field Lead Time (Days). It’s unclear from the Help whether vendor’s Lead Time setting is used only for Stock Items.

Might be worth it to try a small test.

Consider adding your idea to Acumatica Community with an explanation of why lead time is needed for non-stock items.

Laura02, Thank you for your reply.  Yep, the Vendor lead time is applied to the header and each of the lines regardless of the type of item, but that would not help very much our purchasing department unless we buy only that part from the vendor.

The goal more than anything is for the purchasing personnel to have a place to reference lead times for the specific Non-Stock parts.  It would be nice if the Non-Stock item lead time could also calculate the receipt time automatically when creating the line as it does with the Stock-Items.

Hello,

An attribute could hold the Lead Time.  Attributes can be easily added to Generic Inquiries and reports (may need more than one attribute, to show lead time that is different for different vendors). To calculate the receipt time automatically for non-stock items using the attribute will require a customization to the Purchase Order screen.  (Post your ideas in Acumatica Community Ideas section!)

Thank you,

Laura

Thank you Laura.

@ldjmarcog are these non-stock items ordered from your vendors’ catalog?

No, we are not aware of that, but now that you mentioned it, we are going to look into it.  Thank you!

In Vendor Inventory, you can specify Additional Lead Time per item and that includes non-stock.  Here are some screenshots:

Yep, thank you, I went ahead and ran through a couple of scenarios and have relayed the findings to our Purchasing Department.  Appreciate your help.
