How to Auto-Apply Payments

I have a Customer with Auto-Apply Payments selected on the Customers screen.I entered a new Invoice and a new Payment into the system, separately.On the Auto Apply Payments screen, I have the Customer's Statement Cycle ID selected.I click Process, but nothing changes on the Invoice or Payments screen (the payment is not applied). After clicking process on Auto Apply Payments, Invoice still shows a balance:And no Invoices were added to the Application History tab on the Payment:

Getting tax error on genarating invoices after upgrading to 2024R1

Keep on receiving below error when invoice is generated from sales order or from invoice. SO Invoice is created but with incomplete status.We are using AVALARA as an external tax provided and the issue is only encountered after upgrading to 2024R1.There is a known issue published in Acumatica site which is below but the first condition is not met.

Printing Checks without Quantity

Our company has acquired a new division that we are trying to bring into Acumatica. Their main issue is that they currently write checks without amounts to purchase local goods at various locations. For example, they might go to Sams or Costco to buy supplies but they won't know the exact amount of the purchase until they are at the warehouse and have everything in their cart. At the end of the day, they send back the receipts with the check tab so we can enter it on their accounting system.Normally, we would issue a purchasing/expense card for these situations but for several reasons we can't in this case. Furthermore, the purchases are large so I can't ask the employee to pay and reimburse. Is there a way to handle this in Acumatica? Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Is it possible to allow User access to post journal transaction to closed projects

The Financial user has access to user role Financial Supervisor. This allow the user to post transaction to closed periods. This however does not apply to closed Project and Project Task, i.e. Project Task with a closed status.Is it possible to allow a super user access to post to closed projects?The error when a Journal transaction to a closed period that is allocated to a project & project task as follow:“An error occurred during processing of the field Project value 4102 PM Error: You have no permission to use project tasks with the Completed, Canceled, or In Planning status for data entry. “

Setting Business Date in automation schedules

Is it possible to set the business date in an automation schedule? Invoices are prepared using the process at month end because consolidation of sales orders is necessary. The volumes are high and when users run the process it may fail when it gets over 1 hour, resulting in no consolidation. So running the prepare in an automation should take care care of this. However invoicing does not start until day1 of the new period. Users set their business date back to ensure correct invoice date/period, hence the request.

Hi, each month when we Run Project Billings we get a handful of “Completed/Closed” projects that get pulled in because of “unbilled” transactions incurred for miscellaneous reasons.There doesn’t seem to be a default field or parameter to control this.Is there a way to exclude projects from the Run Billing process based on Status?

Dunning Fee using percentage

Hi, I’ve been trying to set up a dunning fee for dunning letters. The following is the dunning setup: Then I prepare the letter and prepare to release it: But when I release it the fee reference number is not generated and there is not dunning fee invoice either: Am I making a mistake somewhere causing the dunning fee to not be created?Side note: Are dunning fees always fixed price? Are there other options for calculating the fee, say based on a percentage of the amount overdue?Any help and insight will be deeply appreciated, thanks.

Need help in Payments and Application

We are receiving an error message that a payment document entered and voided has unreleased transactions. The document does not show anything open on it and nothing is unreleased. How can we find invoices that they system thinks are on this unreleased document and release them? Prepayment Record Voided Payment Record Does anyone know what criteria table/columns/fields determines whether invoices are displayed/available to select from when entering new payments? Something about the above is restricting these invoices from being available to be added to new payments. If we knew what the criteria was, we would be able to try and troubleshoot resolve.

Auto Balancing entries were not generated when paying branch 1 bill using branch 2's identity and cash account

Hello, We are still using 2020 R2 Build 20.209.0027. Is there a known issue of this version or some setting issue. I paid branch 1’s bill using branch 2’s identity. They are setting in different companies with different ledger. I remember a pairo f entring GL transactions should be automatically generated like below. However, I did not see this in production envrionment. How is that. Thanks.

Has anyone seen this ? A invoice in Acumaitca is in the balanced status and can not be released because Avalar bounced back that the document is lockedCustomer confirmed the same document with same creation date and ship to is in Avalara and locked.When do documents get locked in Avalara ?How does this happen? Can Avalara fix?

Shipping order to a company, but Invoice to the company-owned leasing company

Hi everybody,our customer rents out heavy machinery and it regularly happens that he receives a sales order from a daughter company of a big client. Our client then creates the shipping order and ships out the item to the daughter company.At the end of the billing period, our client has to create the invoice NOT for the daughter company, but to a specified leasing/financial company (also owned by the big client).One way would be to just change the billing address, but that is not what our client wants (for various reasons).Is there any possibility to do that in Acumatica without a customization?Thank you for your help!

I have an import scenario for Trial Balance and an export scenario to process/release all the entries. My question is, has anyone ever made an export or import scenario that works across entitles? When you process/release a trial balance entry it takes to you a journal entry which breaks the import/export scenario. I am looking for a way to automate the whole process.

How to handle credit card charges when processing back orders

We are on Acumatica 2022 R2 and use EBizCharge for credit card processing. We have multiple warehouses that may be shipping from the same sales order.When a shipment is completed, we have an end-of-day process that will prepare the invoice for each shipment that was completed and capture the credit card transaction for the amount that was completed (possibly multiple invoices applied to this payment). Our warehouses are 98% able to fulfil shipments same-day unless something is backordered so this works for most orders. Shipments that span over several days, such as backorders, will NOT be able to authorize charges to that same card transaction - the process that runs on that first day will consume that transaction. This will result in the backorder getting stuck in “Awaiting Payment” until the card is reauthorized. During this time, the order is also not considered for fulfillment because it’s Awaiting Payment.If a card is reauthorized too quickly, the bank may not release funds for th

GL Budget Access Restriction

Hi All, I have setup the GL Budget Access restrictions [ScreenId=GL105030]. It works as expected but when I try to do a budget comparison on the previous years, the user that has been restricted to some accounts are able to see it because it was included into the previous budget configuration.This is the current access the user have. If you are doing current budget the system able to restrict the account. But if I try to check 2022 budget, it shows the account that the user has been restricted. I am expecting that the system will restrict the account that the user doesn’t have access to regardless of the year I want to compare the budget with. Is there any way to restrict the previous budget based on the current GL Budget Access that has been assigned to the user?Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much. Anne Samson

Cash Entry- Copy/Paste bug (CA304000)

Hello everyoneI have seen this issue in 3 different versions and builds, the current version I’ve been trying it and use is:2022 R1Build 22.110.0018 Wondering if there is a fix for that and if it happens to anybody else.When I copy a Released Cash Entry (CA304000) that has the Cleared check mark and Date information and paste on a brand new transaction, those fields copy and they should not. 80% of the time I manually uncheck it, but sometimes we forget and they show up in the Bank Reconciliation as cleared and reconciled with the wrong date.
