How to create a report that compares budget ledger to actual ledger?

I think I need to create a new column set but don’t know how to set up the formula so that in one single report I can view an actual vs budget. Also, not sure if I am able to do this in the ARM reports?

inventory vs purchase ( cost of good sold )

Hi would like to clarify the Acumatica system logic for inventory and purchase .does it mean system capture into purchase only Issue inventory ? Credit : inventory , Debit : purchase ?once AP bill created , it will go to credit trade payable and debit to PO in accrual ? if above understanding correct , Does it mean don’t have closing stock in Acumatica system? only purchase where equal to cost of good sold?

Historical Inventory Valuation : How to adjust out the inventory without do the adjustment transacation

Hi SirWe have encountered a problem about the inventory , we make mistake do receipt in a part # where that should be use existing 5 parts to do kit assembly into one part # . Currently , our system have extra 5k in inventory history valuation but in financial inventory account is correct . We cannot do adjustment transaction as it concern about double entry where it will affected financial account figure.May i know if there is any way to do offset the extra 5k in inventory but not affected the financial inventory figure? Migrated balance cannot be less than zero or greater than the document amount

Hi!When loading open AP with balances and/or retention, which screen fields are referred to in the error message as “Migrated Balance” and “Document Amount”? We were able to load cleanly with migration mode off as an initial test, but not with migration mode on as is needed. Thank you,Dave Z

Checks re-printing with same check number

Hi Guys,We had a situation. We mass processed 9 checks at a time and printed those all at same time. But the physical print went wrong due to some reason and we are not able to reprint those with the same check numbers. Acumatica doesn't allow to use the same check number again and this situation client will be facing multiple times. So, need a solution that can help reprint the checks with same pay ref number or maybe with the ones those are already used. Thank you for help.

How to add a surcharge

Hi everyone, I want to add a 8% surcharge to the invoice. I tried to apply a -8% discount. It’s working but the problem is this surcharge will not apply to every customer. I want to know anyway to apply a surcharge by percentage ? like non-stock item or others.

How can you dynamily define the data source in a column set

I would like create a monthly P&L that uses the Actuals ledger for Start Period through End Period and then uses Budget ledger for “End Period +1” through Period 12.Currently I update the data source in the appropriate column each month within the column set. I would like to find a way to dynamically select the correct ledger based on End Period.Something like the following for the column representing the Period 7 . . .=IIf(Left(@EndPeriod,2)>=7, ‘Actuals Ledger’, ‘Budget Ledger”)

What are best practices for closing financial periods? I went to “processes » close financial periods” but we were able to still post in 2021. Having an issue with too many transaction still slipping through the cracks in periods that need to be closed and just wondering what a best practice is to cut this off?

Hello, we are new to Acumatica, & are trying to figure out how to add a miscellaneous cash receipt to a bank deposit. For example: We periodically will receive a rebate check from a vendor, that I would need to record as rebate income. I want to add this to an existing bank deposit that contains payments on account from customers.

Default period to post

I am looking to set the default period to post on transaction screens (journal entries, AP Bills, A/R invoice etc) to be the last open period for the corresponding module. Currently when a user enters a bill, the default period to post will be based on the date of the transaction. An example might be that the oldest open period is period 1 and a user keys an invoice with a date of 2/1. The default would be the period to post defaulting to period 2. The goal is to have the period to post automatically default to period 1 since it is the oldest open period. Any idea on how to do this without a customization?

AR period sensitive and trial balance not matching

We seem to be having an issue with our reports changing balances for previous periods. Our Aged Period Sensitive report under Receivables is no longer tying out to our Trial Balance Summary report. This issue seems to go back to February 2022, and each month from February to November no longer agrees. The issue seems to be invoices that were credited in subsequent months. For example, the February Summary Trial Balance report shows a balance for the AR Trade (account# 11000) of $3,852,680.46. The Aged Period Sensitive Report under Receivables shows a balance of $3,805,177.77 for a difference of $47,502.69. This variance is due to AR invoice #38530 now not being picked up on the Aged Period Sensitive report when you run it for February 2022. This invoice was credited in May 2022. Not sure why the Aged Period Balance is dropping invoice #38530 when run for February. At the end of each month we tie out our Trial Balance with our subsidiary ledgers to make sure they agree and I save t

I am getting the below error when trying to post an AP invoice. This is not a new item or new purchase type. It has been done numerous times in the past so not sure what is causing the issue now and how to fix. I am not seeing anything on the Posting class that looks “off”. Any thoughts on how to fix?

Journal transactions stuck in pending approval status after upgrade to 22 R2?

After an upgrade from 21 R1 to 22 R2 (various builds), I have seen three different client sites have occasional journal transactions get stuck in pending approval status. I have a case open with Acumatica on this, and the workaround is to put JT on hold and remove hold to clear the request for approval. Client does not have JT approval configured and has not previously ever had it configured as it’s a newer feature. Acumatica has not confirmed this is a known issue since they can’t replicate, and I’m wondering if there are others out there that are also seeing this issue to see if we can get a larger pool of affected sites to have Acumatica relook at this as an actual known issue. Also including the workaround above in case others run into this issue!

Apply Customer Overpayments

I am having several issues when applying customer payments as they come in.One issue is where a customer might issue us a check for $50.00 more than the invoice was created/open for. I cannot apply the $50.00 overpayment as I get the error stating the payment must be less than the balance.Customer mistakes like this are extremely common. How can I receive the check in and keep my customer’s balance correct (I should show them a $50.00 “credit” for the overpayment when all is said and done)

Column Set For 12 MOS which only adds months in parameter Range

Would like to have a Column Set that only adds the months up to the “TO” period in the Parameter. Was using a copy of the Rolling 12 column set but it includes totals for months past the parameter selection. For example if we run it from 01-2023 to 03-2023 we want it to only include amounts for periods 01 to 03 and nothing beyond that.
