Units of Measure - Bill of Material and Inventory Use

A simple task is taking too long to figure out - we purchase pre-printed labels that we apply onto each box. We don’t sell these labels but do have them include in our BOM’s since we apply a label onto each box of finished goods. We purchase the label on a roll of 500 labels per roll and we apply 1 label per finished goods box.My Base Unit and Sales Unit is set to Label and my Purchase Unit is set to ROL500. I have a Units of Measure conversion set as From Unit: ROL500, To Unit: LABEL, Multiply 500.To test the conversion, I perform an Inventory Transaction Adjustment where I add 2 ROL500 (1000 labels). The unit price of $12.50per roll appears correctly and the Ext Cost is the price times 2. I then release and see the 2 ROL500 added at the correct cost.When I go to the Inventory Summary screen, it shows that I have a quantity of 2, but the UOM is displayed as LABEL even though I added ROL500. I want it to show ROL500 since that’s what we purchase. The Inventory Valuation Report s

Trying to restore snapshot into Local instance and Can't restore database Local instance

Could you please provide any suggestions for the following scenario?To restore the database locally, I have tested the following options. The size of the database is over 25GB, and the versions of Acumatica and the database match. I created a folder under the Acumatica installation directory, assuming it is located at C:\Program Files\Acumatica\Database\Data\NewFolder. I extracted the contents of the exported snapshot's .zip file into the newly created folder. After that, I run the Acumatica ERP Configuration Wizard. During the Tenant Setup step, I selected the option with the name of the folder (NewFolder) that I had created. However, some errors occurred during the installation, such as 'Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'GLTran_PK'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.GLTran'. The duplicate key value is (2, AP, AP19-21GL000002,1). The statement has been terminated. Table name: GLTran. File name: . Line number: 0.' It seems that some tables have customized fields and thei

Updating employee information - Organization Workspace

So, yesterday, I was presented with a bit of puzzling question. The client was updating the Branch Information in the Employee Profile (Organization) and the State and the Country fields would loose its original value. Of course, I was searching in the community, but did not find an answer that made sense. Therefore, I decided to add it in hopes to help someone else next time. In order for employee’s state and country remain, the Branch setup must have the state and the country as well. If those fields are blank, then any Branch update on the employee profile even though it has the right information, will be removed. Branch information screen shot below:Employee Information after selecting the branch that does not have address will not keep the information.

Document Nbr Narrower Search in 23R1

We just upgraded to 23R1 and discovered that the document nbr search (within the document screen) is now searching other fields besides the document number. Is there a way to restrict this to only search document numbers and not customer IDs, as shown below? I search for SO # 1224 and get 1132 in the dropdown. 1132 is an SO# that has a CUSTOMER ID of C1224. My users don’t want to find a customer number in this particular search box. This same dynamic occurs in the Production Order Maintenance screen and probably other screens as well.

Schedule Lockout/Stop Lockout Automation (Site is under maintenance)

Has anyone found a solution to eliminate the human error from this process? We are creating an alert by BE that will notify us when it is still on so we can correct before the customers try to logon in the event someone forgot to turn it off. There are still holes in this though, one being humans are still involved and the other is time zone of customers being much earlier than we come in.The sci-fi idea I was hoping someone had some thoughts on was this: Can there be an automatic function be it system reset or scheduled restart, etc that would clear the lock and allow the system to be ready for customer use the morning after a Scheduled lockout?

Trying to re-install

I’ve been evaluating Acumatica for several months using a local instance. I tried to launch it today and it timed out saying the website was not available. I tried launching it from the IIS Manager. It is in the default application pool. Trying to browse to the AcumaticaERP web site fails. The application pool is running. Perhaps a necessary service is not running on my computer, I’m not sure. So I thought maybe I should try to reinstall Acumatica from the beginning. I downloaded AcumaticaERPInstall.msi and tried to run it, but I got an error that Acumatica ERP and Acumatica Tools cannot be installed on the same computer. I have no idea what that means.UPDATE: I was able to fix the installation by running the Windows Application in the Start menu called Acumatica ERP Configuration.

CreateDefPaymentMethod method removed

We are upgrading from 2019 to 2020R2 and while doing so we noticed one of the methods CreateDefPaymentMethod is no longer available in 2020 R2. Can anyone suggest what is the alternate method that can be used or we just remove the method.

I have a few reports set up to run on schedule at month-end and none of the reports ran this month. When looking at the automation schedule it states the last run date was 5/31. Thoughts?

Sales Order Number Export To BigCommerce

We are setting up a BigCommerce site that uses BundleB2B and syncs with Acumatica via the Connector.My issue is getting the Acumatica sales order number to sync over and display in BigCommerce. All of our interaction with our customers (and our customers to us) use Acumatica’s sales order number.When an order is created in BigCommerce, it syncs over to Acumatica just fine. I would like to set up a way for the Acumatica sales order number to sync back to BigCommerce, to its “External Order ID” field in Orders. However, it does not look like the Acumatica Sales Order field is available for mapping/syncing in the Connector.This is very important to our implementation of ecommerce. Our customers must be able to view their orders in BigCommerce with the Acumatica sales order number.Has anyone else with this requirement run into this issue? How did you resolve it?Thanks -GenData
